Why travel:

Rich History: From the Bible to the Crusades to the Ottoman Empire, Israel’s history dates back to over 5000 years. A plethora of ancient sites with historical significance, all within proximity to each other, makes it easy to cover a whole lot in a short amount of time. Some of the must-see historical gems are the ancient fortress of Masada built around the 1st century, the city of David and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem (3300-1200 BC), Jaffa, the world’s oldest port city, city of Haifa and home of the Baha’i Shrine and Gardens, the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock.

Jerusalem: Located in modern-day Israel, Jerusalem is the site of significance for the three largest monotheistic religions: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. The distinctive golden helmet of the Dome of the Rock glints above the old city’s horizon and the labyrinthine alleyways in the old district are packed with religious sites. Must-see sites include The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Tel Aviv: Israel’s cultural capital, Tel Aviv, is arguably the coolest city in the Middle East. Golden beaches, small museums, funky art galleries, artisan markets, impressive dining options, and lively nightlife make Tel Aviv a vibrant destination you won’t want to miss.

Food: The food in Israel is reason enough to visit the country. From local Arab to the Mediterranean to fine Asian, Israel offers countless amazing places to eat. Fresh vegetables, fresh meat, and fresh fish from Israeli waters. As seasons change, so do the menus in the restaurants.

The Dead Sea: The lowest spot on earth’s surface and ten times more saline than the ocean, the Dead Sea attracts travelers from all over the world to float in the water, slather themselves in the thick, clay-like mud that is considered to have healing properties, and then soak it off in the mineral-rich salt waters. A unique experience, unlike anything else you will have ever seen before.
