Why travel:

Natural Wonders: Argentina is a vast natural wonderland. Watch the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO site that has breathtaking 275 cascading falls. Trek on the ice at Perito Moreno glacier, or take a cruise to see it up and close. Enjoy outdoor sports in all seasons at the turquoise lakes at Bariloche. Take a day trip to the salt flats of Salta that seem to morph into a mirror during the rainy season. Peninsula de Valdes is renowned for its great sightings of southern right whales.

Argentine Culture:  Tango, steak, fútbol (soccer), red wine; some Argentinian cultural icons are world-famous. Enroll in horse riding lessons with gauchos. Learn the Tango during the day followed by a dinner of the tastiest beef of pasture and grass-fed cows. Explore the indigenous history dating back to Inca times at the Archaeological and Ethnic Pajcha Museums and enjoy the famed folk music performances at Salta.

Wine: Argentina is the 5th largest producer of exquisite wines and offers exceptional vineyards and spectacular eateries. Enjoy an aromatic Torrontes in Salta, a classic Cabernet in the north, or a full-bodied Malbec in Mendoza. Wineries are often booked up weeks in advance in the harvesting months of March and April.

Cities: Argentina’s cities are full of life, beautiful colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, and a unique spirit of their own. A modern city with a European feel, Buenos Aires is a lovely introduction to Argentina, while Salta is an old colonial city with fantastic bars and lively cafes. Mendoza and Cafayate are famous for their vineyards, and the beautiful lakeside town of Bariloche is a step into Patagonia. Visit El Calafate to see Perito Moreno Glacier in all its glory. El Bolson is known as the hippy town of Argentina. Add fantastic food and culture, and Argentinian cities have something for every traveler.
